First August 50 – Cheeky Muskies

Feeding aggression in our Ottawa River muskies predictably changed a couple of weeks back. Summer low water, peaking water temps, and the fact that the muskies are firmly settled into their summer home ranges mean you have to work harder and be there when it counts.

The summer issue of Musky Hunter magazine has an excellent lead article on how to adjust to the changing summer conditions. I also highly recommend the Musky Hunter App for your portable device. This combines moon cycles, sun cycles, and our local weather to help you find the time you are most likely to score on the water.

The pics are of the first 50 of the month, or actually the first 51 1/2 of the month. And yes, that is the guru and fellow Loomis/Shimano/Power Pro field rep Wally Robins.

Notice how Wally is around for a lot of 50s…… It is not an accident.

Go get ’em!
