Big muskies like some people more than others. Some people don’t get much musky love at all but the big girls of the Ottawa River are clearly in love with Tim Handley. And why not. He dresses in stylish musky gear, He has the bluest eyes, beards are in vogue and he easily wins the beard contest, his smile is warmer than July, and he loves the big girls as much as they love him.
This one is yet another Ottawa River Musky Factory Disney fish as it came at the very end of another great trip. The fight would have won first prize on dancing with the stars as this girl ran the big man from side to side across the front of the bow and then powered off the back of the boat where the she finally fell into Tim’s arms. The best fight of the summer!
Why does Tim catch more big muskies than most? His High Speed Tranx reel. It generates more speed than any other reel, period. It allows you to throw fast casts all day long too. Speed on the water for muskies is like speed in sports; there is no defense against it. As the water warms in the summer speed becomes a bigger and bigger part of the game.
